History of Porto Seguro
Porto Seguro is called the discovery coast of Brazil. This is because Porto Seguro was the landing place of the Portugues Pedro Álvares Cabral when he dicovered Brazil in 1550. The place hasn't changed a lot, it pretty much stayed the same as back in the days. Porto seguro is deveided in several little cities like Arraial d'Ajuda, Trancoso and Caraiva are well woth to visit!
To get to the cities you have to take a ferry that takes about 30 minutes and then the adventure can begin! Arraial d'Ajuda is a very layed back town, the main streets are Rua de Mucugê and Brouidway and the most famous beaches are "praia de pitinga", praia de taipe, praia dos pescadores and praia do mucugê.
From Arraial dajuda it is about 1h drive to Trancoso, a little hippie chic paradise where the rich and famous come to chill out and get far away from the stress out life. The most famous beache's are praia de taipe where the club med trancoso is situated an the praia dos coqueiros.
And the last place is caraiva a little paradise where they just installed electricity 3 years ago. The main attractions are the stras and the endless white beaches
